Job description
As a Test Automation Engineer, you will help ensure the quality and reliability of our client- and expert-facing products across a suite of web applications. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to validate new features, improve regression coverage, and strengthen our overall testing approach.
This is a hands-on role for someone with 2–3 years of QA experience who is comfortable combining manual testing, test planning, and automation in a fast-moving product environment.
What you’ll do
Test new features end-to-end across our web applications and user workflows.
Write, maintain, and extend automated functional tests (we use Playwright and Cucumber)
Design clear test cases and regression plans for new releases.
Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases, usability issues, and regressions.
Investigate defects, document reproducible issues clearly, and work with engineers to verify fixes.
Validate frontend behavior, API-driven flows, notifications, and business-critical user journeys.
Support release confidence through smoke, regression, and environment testing.
Contribute to continuous improvement of our QA processes, test coverage, and test data practices.
Who we’d love to work with
Curious, detail-oriented, and genuinely motivated by product quality
Comfortable communicating clearly in English in a technical environment (approximately B2–C1 proficiency)
Strong in manual testing fundamentals and comfortable exploring beyond scripted cases
A clear communicator who works effectively with engineers and product stakeholders
Practical and organized in documenting bugs, test coverage, and release risk
Eager to learn and improve automation skills over time
Comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced environment
Around 2–3 years into a QA career (junior to mid-level)
Job requirements
Expected skills & experience
Fluent in English
Commercial experience testing web applications in production or pre-production environments
Strong experience with manual functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing
Experience validating REST APIs (endpoints, payloads, error handling, and integrated user flows)
Experience writing or maintaining UI automation tests (ideally Playwright or similar)
Familiarity with BDD-style testing approaches such as Cucumber
Understanding of testing frontend behavior: forms, validation, navigation, and asynchronous flows
Ability to validate API-connected user journeys and diagnose failures using logs, browser tools, and test reports
Experience documenting defects clearly with strong reproduction steps and expected vs. actual behavior
Beneficial
Working knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript-based test automation
Exposure to performance or other non-functional testing
Understanding of quality practices in CI/CD environments
